STATEMENT OF FAITH

We Believe

the sole basis of our beliefs is the Bible, God’s infallible written Word, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments.  We believe that it was uniquely, verbally, and fully inspired by the Word of God and that it was written without error.  It is the supreme and final authority in all matters on which it speaks.

We Believe

there is only one God. He exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  We believe the Trinity is holy and just, loving and merciful, all-knowing, all-powerful, sovereign and everywhere present at all times. He desires to be known by man.

We Believe

Jesus Christ is fully God and fully Man and is God’s provision for the salvation of all people. Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary, died on the cross as atonement for the sins of the world, rose from the dead on the third day, and showed Himself alive to many witnesses.  He ascended into Heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of the Father as our great High Priest. He will come again to receive all who believe in Him and to establish His Kingdom of righteousness and peace.

We Believe

in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment and to regenerate, sanctify and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ.  We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer in Christ, and that He is an abiding teacher who guides and empowers His followers to live holy lives.

We Believe

human beings are created in the image and likeness of God. Sin and death entered the human race through disobedience. All people are born with a sin nature, which separates them from God, but through the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus, all who believe are saved from eternal death and punishment.

We Believe

in the universal Church and that it is composed of all who truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ, the head of the Church, has commissioned His followers to go into all the world as His witnesses to make disciples by preaching the Gospel to all people, teaching them to obey His commands, and baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We Believe

in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth in power and glory and the establishment of His kingdom. He will resurrect all who have died: the righteous to eternal life in heaven and the unrighteous to eternal judgment.

We Believe

that we are living in the last days, and time is of the essence to spread God’s Word to those we are called to serve. Jesus commands us as his representatives on earth to feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty, provide clothing and shelter to the destitute, minister to those who are sick and in prison, and to care for orphans and widows in their distress and in so doing we are ministering to Jesus himself.
